Stainless Steel / Ar+O2 Solid wire YM-309
Characteristics
YM-309 is a gas metal arc welding wire to be used with Ar+0.5 to 2%O2 shield gas. The arc is stable, the bead appearance is beautiful with outstanding edge wetting and the weldability is satisfactory. The weld metal of 24%Cr-13%Ni contains an adequate amount of ferrite and shows excellent resistance to hot cracking.
Applications
Welding of 22%Cr-12%Ni stainless steel for petroleum, chemical engineering and textile industries, 18%Cr-8%Ni stainless clad steel and dissimilar metals such as mild steel to stainless steel.
